Government slashes import duty on refined palm oil to 13.75% from 19.25%

The duty cut, aimed at reining in cooking oil prices in the world’s biggest importer of vegetable oils, was announced on Monday. Total tax on refined palm oil now stands at 13.75%, down from 19.25%.
