These suggestions were made during the customary pre-budget with finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In a statement, the finance ministry noted that the meeting was attended by minister of state for finance Pankaj Chaudhary, secretaries of the Department of Economic Affairs, the chief economic advisor and senior officials of the ministry.
